Dursley Male Voice Choir
Welcome to the DMVC
The Dursley Male Voice Choir was founded by a group of enthusiastic local singers in 1978 and has since grown to be one of the principal male voice choirs of Gloucestershire with up to 40 singers drawn from communities around Dursley and the wider Stroud district.

The Choir performs around 8 to 10 concerts each year, the majority of them for charity. As well as local concerts the choir performs at many venues, around the UK and internationally. It has traditionally toured every couple of years. The last was to Yorkshire in 2019, but Ireland, Canada and Austria have been visited over the years. This year (2024) we will be enjoying a short tour to Edinburgh in October, singing in St Giles Cathedral and The choir is next looking to tour in 2024.

The Choir are actively looking for new members. ​There is no requirement to read music and all singers will be made welcome. We sing a very wide range of music, including Popular, Musical Theatre, Classical, Jazz, Folk and even the odd Sea Shanty! Our next performance
​​Now we're gearing up for a multitude of Christmas events. We start with support to the switching on of several sets of Christmas Lights, singing Christmas Carols & Festive Sing-Alongs at a number of local venues before our most favourite concert of the year; the DMVC Christmas Concerts. This year we are absolutely delighted to have persuaded Hannah Hughes to return as our Guest. She last sang with us in 2021 at the start of the covid lock-down and boy oh boy, did she so cheer us all with her fantastic voice and wonderful choice of music. Not to be missed..... and don't forget that the Saturday concert will again be a matinee performance this year as it was so successful last year ......... and, if you are that way inclined, you can still watch "Strictly" in the evening 😊
